From Toysrus.com & Amazon.com - Review
When Clem and Samuel played checkers on the front
porch of the general store, it was never quite like this.
For one thing, they could probably read the board.
No one over the age of 11 will be able to read the screen
on this handheld video checkers game,
which is about the size of a postage stamp.
Which is too bad, because this is an easy-to-play
checkers game, with a challenging
computer opponent and a handsome, bold,
purple-and-red design. The buttons are easy to
understand and sized right for fingers both little and big.
You can play in two modes: "mandatory jump,"
where you must jump if you have the opportunity,
and "non-mandatory jump," which is just plain old freeform
checkers. That is, you can play in either mode if you manage to
read the screen. --Claire Dederer
